This one is bizarre, but works well! Two of the things I love, one of them I love to hate. Bet you can guess which is which?!

Cheese, I can’t get enough of it. I tried being vegan for 6 months and managed to give up cheese which was incredibly hard and began to slip back into my diet. I do now occasionally use substitutes such as Nutritional Yeast (more about it here: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/nutritional-yeast#:~:text=Nutritional%20yeast%2C%20also%20called%20%E2%80%9Cnooch,vitamins%2C%20minerals%2C%20and%20antioxidants.) and use stronger cheeses sometimes with the plan to have less of them (this doesn’t work very well though lol) but I just love the taste!

I have watched all the anti-dairy programmes I can to try and rid my passion for cheese but to no avail. Hopefully, they work for some people though as I do feel sorry for the cows (just maybe not enough to avoid cheese). I am vegetarian though so not killing cows (but yes I know, dragging the calves away from the mothers so we can steal their milk for cheese, I know, I know, the guilt is real). I recommend watching Simon Amstell’s ‘Carnage’, I started watching this as thought it would be funny but then became vegetarian that week because of it! My attempt at being vegan wasn’t totally in vain though as I now cook with a lot more ingredients than I used to and eat a lot more whole foods in my diet.

Nike Air Max trainers - my other guilty pleasure. I think I have about 4 pairs on the go at present which despite sounding a lot, I have friends who have about 20 pairs so I feel I could probably justify buying another pair :) . I say guilty pleasure as Nike has been branded as unethical before and use to have a lot of poor labour conditions. Here is an article on where they are now. Still not perfect, I know but sometimes you have to pick your battles with being eco-friendly. I feel safe that I do a lot for the planet but I am only human and no one is perfect!

So this leads me to Rick Astley. We all know him from the last century. Maybe this is where he should have been left. But no, my 10 year son has discovered the art of rickrolling (more information on this here-https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/rickrolling/#:~:text=What%20does%20rickrolling%20mean%3F,bait%2Dand%2Dswitch%20linking. ). So now I have Rick Astley going around in my head at least half of the day. Until it goes. And then my son sings it again. Cheers for that one Rick.
